The Brazilian Football Team is starting preparations for the World Cup, the most important football competition in the world. On Tuesday night (26/5), midfielder Casemiro was the first athlete called to present himself at Granja Comary, in Teresópolis, along with nine other players, including young talent Endrick. In addition to the athletes who will represent Brazil in the tournament, goalkeeper Leo Nannetti also presented himself, although he is not called up for official matches. The players gathered in Teresópolis for the last week of preparation before the Cup, which arrives in June.
On this Wednesday (27/5), the remaining athletes are expected to present themselves at Granja Comary, which includes the most experienced starters on the team, such as top scorer Neymar and midfield star Vinicius Jr. According to the schedule of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), the players still have time to adapt and train before the first official match in the World Cup, which will be held on June 13 against the Moroccan Selection. Additionally, the team will still face the selections of Haiti and Scotland, in a Group C considered “modest” by the specialized press. In other words, it is still not possible to predict what the main challenges of the Selection will be in the final stages of the competition.
