The Metrópoles Endurance – Run is about to arrive in the federal capital on June 7, with courses of 5 km, 10 km and 15 km. The test, which will start on the Eixão Sul, near the Cine Brasília, is one of the main sports competitions of the year and will feature the participation of athletes from male and female categories, from 16 years old. The event is a realization of Metrópoles, with the support of the Secretariat of Tourism of the Government of the Federal District. To minimize the risk of injuries and discomforts during the run, experts recommend adequate warming up before the start. Physiotherapist Alessandra Vidal Prieto highlights that a brief activation, of at least five minutes, is able to take the body out of the state of rest and leave it ready for the test.
Among the exercises indicated for warming up are stretching and joint movements that aim to prepare the hips, knees and ankles for the effort. These exercises are fundamental to activate the musculature and guarantee a safe and effective performance. The start of the 15 km distance will be at 7 am, with a maximum running time of three hours. The 10 km test will start 10 minutes later, at 7:10 am, with a maximum duration of 1 hour and 50 minutes for competitors. The start for the 5 km will take place at 7:20 am, with a maximum duration of 1 hour. Registrations for the test end on June 4, at 1 pm, or until the limit of places is reached.
The Metrópoles Endurance is a competition that is part of a larger sports calendar, which includes other modalities such as triathlon, aquathlon and open water swimming. The running test is one of the most anticipated stages of the year and will feature awards for the top five finishers in each category. With the realization of this event, Metrópoles reaffirms its commitment to sports and the promotion of health and well-being.
The expectation is that the test will move the federal capital and attract athletes from all regions. With careful organization and a challenging route, the Metrópoles Endurance – Run promises to be an unforgettable experience for participants. The competition will follow with its other stages, consolidating the sports calendar of the year.
