There are 100 days to go until Rock in Rio 2026, and the festival is already in full swing. The event takes place on September 4, 5, 6, 7 and 11, 12, and 13, at the Olympic Park in Rio de Janeiro, and will feature 42 international attractions, 15 of which will have exclusive shows in Brazil. Among the names that will not pass through any other city in the country are Foo Fighters, Elton John, Stray Kids, Twenty One Pilots, Bring Me the Horizon, Avenged Sevenfold, Mumford & Sons, Zara Larsson, HWASA, and Fatboy Slim. General ticket sales start on June 8th at 7pm via Ticketmaster, and prices start at R$ 870 for a full ticket.
Rock in Rio 2026 promises to be an effervescent event, with a diversity of styles and generations. Elton John, who retired from major world tours, chose the festival to make his only appearance in Brazil on September 7th at the Mundo Stage. The second weekend of the festival features Stray Kids as headliners of the Mundo Stage on the 11th, with Alok, HWASA, and NEXZ also confirmed for that date. On the 12th, Maroon 5 closes the Mundo Stage, with Demi Lovato, J Balvin, and Pedro Sampaio on the same stage. The festival will also feature the presence of New Dance Order, which returns with a completely new set design, measuring 56.50 meters wide and 22.5 meters high.
In addition to the lineup, Rock in Rio 2026 arrives with structural novelties. The Mundo Stage gains an unprecedented set design and, for the first time, its entire front structure will be covered by 2,400 m² of high-definition LED panels. Another novelty is ECCO, an immersive show in partnership with LightWire that combines dancers, holography, surround sound, and technological costumes in LED and fiber optics — with five daily performances of 20 minutes for up to 1,000 people. The Babilônia Feira Hype returns celebrating 30 years of history, in a new location close to New Dance Order, with 20 tents and 60 exhibitors throughout the seven days of the festival.
The festival production is also betting on collaborations and shows exclusives. On the Sunset Stage, Mumford & Sons shares the day with João Gomes with the Brazilian Orchestra and Gilsons inviting Daniela Mercury and Olodum. The closing of the festival on the 13th features Twenty One Pilots on the Mundo Stage and Zara Larsson as the main attraction on the Sunset Stage, with John Summit closing New Dance Order.
