André Luís dos Santos Pereira, a gospel singer convicted of fraud and criminal association, was arrested in the early hours of Monday (11/5) by the Municipal Guard of Cristalina, in the surroundings of the Federal District. Despite being placed under house arrest since October 2023, he traveled to Dubai in September of last year with his wife to enjoy their honeymoon. Furthermore, he recently appeared on international trips and had a life incompatible with the restrictions imposed by the Justice. During the approach, nothing illicit was found in the vehicle he was in, but the agents located two arrest warrants against him, who was sent to the Judicial Police authority to fulfill the judicial orders.
The arrest of André Luís was the result of a joint work between the Municipal Guard and the Intelligence Agency of the GCM, which received information that a fugitive from Justice would be circulating in the city in a blue Hyundai HB20. According to the corporation, the singer cooperated during the action and did not need to be handcuffed. André has been serving a house arrest since October 20, 2023, by determination of the Justice of the Federal District, but his recent attitudes raised suspicions. In September 2024, he celebrated a luxurious wedding in a hotel and soon after boarded for a honeymoon in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Furthermore, he would have moved to Alphaville, in São Paulo, and currently lives in the Wave Alphaville condominium, known for its high standard and discretion of residents.
The infractions committed by André Luís were very serious and caused an estimated loss of almost R$ 300,000 to several luxury companies, including Prada, Gucci, and Burberry. The Justice had issued arrest warrants against him for fraud and criminal association, which were fulfilled after his arrest. In short, André Luís Pereira’s conduct is an example of lack of discipline, responsibility, and respect for the rules established by the Justice.
