Claudia Salomão e Lara Magalhães Create an Unforgettable Japanese Cultural Experience
Claudia Salomão and Lara Magalhães joined forces to create an unforgettable night of immersion into Japanese culture, with a special dinner at Kosushi restaurant in Brasília. The duo promoted an enogastronomic experience that celebrated Nipponese tradition, with a four-course menu designed by Chef George Koshoji, founder of the restaurant in São Paulo and inaugurated in Brasília this year. The night began with a traditional kampai, a Japanese toast, accompanied by a glass of national white wine, 1550 Brás/Chardonnay. The guests were transported to a themed atmosphere, with many of them dressed in kimonos, the traditional Japanese dress.
The experience began with the tasting of tempura of sweet corn, edamame, special tuna sashimi and special salmon sashimi, harmonized with the sparkling wine 1550 Brás/Champenoise. Next, the house specialties were presented, such as white fish sushi, tuna sushi with Thai sauce and salmon belly with Sicilian lemon zest, accompanied by the Chilean Mariposa Alegre/Chardonnay. The third stage brought the so-called hot dishes, with the yaki salmon and mushroom and the yanimeshi of shiitake mushrooms, harmonized with the California wine Crimson Ranch/Pinot Noir. To finalize, Kosushi opted for a dessert that combined Japanese and Brazilian references: the classic combination of Romeo and Juliet, adapted with Nipponese touches.
During the night, the hosts Claudia Salomão and Lara Magalhães emphasized the importance of slowing down and enjoying the company of loved ones. The experience was led by the sommelier Gabriel Cunha Campos, who presented the night’s menu and highlighted the perfect harmonizations between the dishes and wines. For those who wish to recreate the experience at home, it is essential to master techniques such as preparing sushi and yaki, as well as choosing fresh and quality ingredients. Paying attention to detail, such as the presentation of the dishes and the choice of wines, is also fundamental to creating an authentic experience.
On a night celebrating Japanese culture, it is clear that enogastronomy has the power to transport and connect people. By combining traditions and flavors, Claudia Salomão and Lara Magalhães provided an unforgettable experience, which certainly left a legacy of memories and inspiration for future celebrations.
