A 26-year-old woman, Bruna Damaris Sant’Anna da Silva, was rescued by two fishermen from Ubatuba after spending around 42 hours adrift at sea, after a jet ski ride with a friend, Dheorge Pereira Bernardino, 28, who remains missing. Bruna was found in a vulnerable state, near the Island of Búzios, approximately 16 km from the coast, and is currently hospitalized at the Hospital Municipal Governador Mário Covas Júnior, in Ilhabela, with no forecast for discharge. The friend who accompanied her on the jet ski ride has been missing for more than 3 days. The young woman is very traumatized and has been having difficulty sleeping, waking up frightened in the middle of the night thinking she was still at sea. Bruna recorded a video for her family, showing her gratitude for the rescue. The Navy found a life jacket near the location where Dheorge disappeared, which may belong to the victim.
