The mother of singer MC Kevin, Valquíria Nascimento, reacted publicly to a post by rap and funk producer Damassaclan, after the revelation that at least two of the four bodies found in a clandestine cemetery in the southern zone of São Paulo, were employees of the producer. The producer said that the employees were killed in retaliation, because “they discovered who killed Kevin”. MC Kevin died in 2021 after falling from the balcony of a hotel in Curitiba, and the cause of death was officially registered as suicide, although his mother stated that there are inconsistencies in the investigation and is seeking to reopen it. The producer also mentioned that one of the employees was killed in retaliation for information related to MC Kevin’s death. Valquíria rebutted the accusations, saying that people should stop saying things they don’t know and that she is suffering greatly from the loss of her son.
Investigation and Controversy
On May 21, influencer Deolane Bezerra, ex-wife of MC Kevin, was arrested on suspicion of involvement with the Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC), which led to speculation that she had something to do with the singer’s death. Valquíria also mentioned that the hotel’s security cameras had no recordings and that her son’s cell phone was seized by authorities, which prevents her from accessing data that may help clarify the case.
The discovery of the clandestine cemetery in São Paulo, where the bodies of at least two employees of the rap and funk producer Damassaclan were found, is being investigated by the Civil Police. The location was discovered in the Heliópolis community, in the southern zone of São Paulo, on May 25. It’s worth noting that the relationship between MC Kevin’s death and the employees of the rap producer is still a mystery. The singer’s mother is fighting to prove that the investigation was conducted improperly and that there are reasons to reopen the case.
The Heliópolis community is in shock over the discovery of the clandestine cemetery. The Civil Police are working to identify those responsible for the crimes and the truth behind the death of the rap and funk producer’s employees.
