A Metrô-DF Faces Serious Maintenance Challenges
The Metropolitan Company of the Federal District (Metrô-DF) is facing serious difficulties in maintaining its fleet of trains. According to an inspection conducted by the Commission for Transport and Urban Mobility of the Legislative Chamber (CTMU/CLDF), only 19 of the 32 available trains are operational during peak hours. In addition, 10 trains are completely inoperable, six may require significant investments to return to operation, and four were considered “irrecoverable”.
