In addition, the company may face problems to receive payments from its customers, since it is no longer considered regular. In the market, the revocation of Refit’s registration may affect the supply of petroleum refining products and biofuels in the state and, potentially, in Brazil as a whole. This may have an impact on product prices and the businesses of companies that depend on Refit.
The decision of the government of Rio de Janeiro can also have political and legal implications.
